Job summary

Encompassborders in Lauder is seeking a Personal Assistant to support an elderly lady at her own home. You will help with personal care, meals, hydration and daily routines while promoting independence and dignity.

practical and compassionate candidates with reliable, patient, and independent working style are encouraged to apply. PVG clearance or willingness to obtain is required; flexible hours and visits seven days a week are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is welcome, but a caring nature, patience and the right attitude are just as important.

Responsibilities

• Providing gentle encouragement and support with personal care and dressing.
• Checking and emptying catheter bag.
• Wearing Borders Care Alarm.
• Preparing simple meals and drinks and encouraging hydration.
• Prompting and ensuring medication is taken at each visit.
• Help with night-time routine and catheter night bag connection.
• Support with day-to-day tasks to maintain safety and independence at home.
