Job summary

Capability Scotland is seeking a kind, patient Personal Assistant to support a gentleman in his day-to-day life in Scotland. You will provide personal care, help with meals and medications, assist in light household tasks, and enable safe movement and social activities.

The role requires empathy, respect for privacy, and strong boundaries to maintain independence and dignity. The client values calm, unhurried support and may involve respite work for his wife, with flexible hours and PVG

Qualifications

• Experience providing care or support to someone with dementia.
• Ability to support daily living activities with dignity and respect.
• Commitment to privacy, boundaries and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care in a respectful, dignified manner.
• Assist with meals, eating, and utensils.
• Help with light household tasks and medication as per plan.
• Support safe movement and outings with mobility aids if needed.
• Offer companionship and meaningful social interaction.
