Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant for Braintree Mews Care Home in Braintree. You will work as part of a team to uphold hotel-standard housekeeping and laundry services, while supporting residents with dignity and respect.

The role requires knowledge of health and safety, laundry experience in public settings, and flexibility to cover various duties as needed. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions and maintain housekeeping and laundry standards.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintain areas in good condition.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, respecting personal space and belongings.
