Job summary

The Old Vicarage Otterton is a family-run residential care home in Otterton, East Devon, renowned for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and commitment to compassionate daily care for residents.

We are looking for a compassionate Housekeeping/Kitchen Assistant to work under the Senior Housekeeper, helping keep spaces clean, manage laundry, label items, and support the kitchen with breakfast service and dishwashing. Full training is provided, with flexible hours and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Caring and team-oriented approach.
• No prior experience required (full training provided).
• Uniform provided and flexible shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Manage laundry, including residents’ clothing and home linens.
• Ensure items are labelled and returned correctly.
• Maintain clean and organised laundry areas.
• Support the kitchen team with breakfast service and dishwashing.
