Job summary

ClwydAlyn, a social housing provider in North Wales, is seeking a compassionate Homeless Support Officer for Llys Emlyn Williams in Holywell. You will deliver person-centred support to young people aged 16-35, helping them move toward independence and stability.

Using trauma-informed approaches, you will build relationships, assess risk, and support residents to access education, employment, benefits and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering person-centred support to vulnerable individuals.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and ACEs.
• Understanding of homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, and related services.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing risk and safeguarding concerns.
• Good IT skills and accurate record-keeping.
• Understanding housing, benefits and tenancy sustainment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with residents and provide consistent support.
• Develop and deliver person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
• Help residents access education, training, volunteering and employment.
• Assist residents with benefits and healthcare access.
• Encourage life skills development and tenancy readiness.
• Facilitate wellbeing, social inclusion and community engagement activities.
• Work with partner agencies including housing, health and social care.
• Maintain accurate case notes, support records and incident reports.
• Promote safeguarding and resident wellbeing.
• Undertake housing management duties including tenancy matters and rehousing pathways.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming environment across the service.
