Job summary

Yorkshire Community Care is seeking a reliable Support Worker (Driver) to deliver person-centred support at clients' homes and in the community across Leeds. You will be responsible for safe transport to appointments and activities, while promoting dignity and independence for service users.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, flexible approach. DBS checks and references are part of pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Desirable previous care, support or community transport experience; full training provided.
• Valid UK driving licence with clean record and willingness to vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful and person-centred support in service users' homes and community settings.
• Transport service users safely using a company or private vehicle, following road safety and policies.
• Plan and accompany service users to appointments and activities, promoting independence and social inclusion.
• Support with personal care, medication prompts/administration as delegated, meals and daily living tasks.
• Maintain accurate records including travel logs, incident reports and care plan updates.
