Job summary

ICare Group in Sefton is seeking a Home Care Assistant (Driver Required) to support people in their own homes, maintaining independence and wellbeing. Flexible hours across 7am–10pm, Monday to Sunday, with driving duties between client visits.

You'll earn £13.45–£13.70 per hour, plus a £125 welcome bonus, paid mileage between care calls, and travel expenses where applicable. Comprehensive training and induction are provided to start your caring journey.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Have access to your own vehicle.
• Be able to travel throughout the Sefton area; and
• Be willing to obtain Class 1 Business Insurance if not already in place.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Supporting with washing, dressing and daily routines.
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Providing medication prompts and support in line with care plans.
• Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks.
• Supporting with light household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support.
• Promoting independence, choice and person-centred care.
• Travelling between clients' homes across the local community.
