Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Healthcare Assistants across the Medicine, Emergency Care and Surgical divisions at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. This permanent role offers full and part-time hours, with a fully rotational pattern across days, nights and weekends.

You will be supported by nursing and medical teams, provided with essential training including Care Certificate, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Care certificate is essential or willing to work towards completing on successful appointment to the post.
• IT qualification is essential/required as part of the role.
• Knowledge and/or experience of care and related procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered nurse in delivering care, prioritising patient needs.
• Maintain accurate written/electronic patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Support safe admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Demonstrate professional behaviour and adherence to Trust policies and procedures.
