Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for Healthcare Assistants to join the Medical Assessment Centre team in Blackpool. You will support triage, perform basic clinical tasks, and help manage patient flow in a busy MAC unit.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours), fully rotational, including nights and weekends, with NHS Band 3 salary £25,760–£27,476 pro rata. DBS checks may apply and there is a strong focus on patient safety and care.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 and willingness to undertake NVQ3.
• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Venepuncture and cannulation as required.
• ECG recording and baseline observations.
• Urine sampling and transfers.
• Assist with triage and patient care in MAC.
• Work flexibly to meet service needs.
