Co-op Group is recruiting for a part-time Funeralcare role in Leeds. You will collect the deceased, transport coffins, and support viewings with dignity and respect. The job requires physical work, driving duties, and precise record-keeping.

No prior funeral experience is required as full training and benefits are provided. The role includes on-call duties, travel between locales, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (manual lifting).
• Good IT skills and ability to use various devices and systems.
• Calm, compassionate approach to customer service in emotional situations.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins on funeral day and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Update client management records accurately and promptly.
• Safely lift and move coffins following health and safety guidelines.
