Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Funeral Service Crew in Deeside. The role involves collecting the deceased, transporting them with dignity, and preparing for viewings. No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training is provided.

This part-time position (15 hours/week) includes on-call duties, weekend work, and a benefit-rich package. Applicants must be comfortable with physical tasks and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Strong IT skills and comfort using common devices and software.
• Ability to interact with families with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins on funeral day and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Update client management systems with accurate records daily.
• Lift, carry and move coffins safely using proper techniques.
