Elizabeth Finn Homes Limited is seeking a compassionate Food Services Assistant to support meal preparation and service for residents at Eversfield Care Home. You will maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene while delivering prompt, person-centred service.

The role involves working 25 or 40 hours per week with shifts between 8:00am and 7:30pm, including weekends. Experience in care homes and Basic Food Hygiene certification are desirable.

Qualificações

• Basic Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to undertake the same.
• NVQ level 2 is desirable.
• Experience in a care home is desirable.
• In good general health, physically and mentally fit to meet the requirements of the role.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing and serving meals safely and accurately – support food preparation, serving correct portions at set times, and ensuring food is presented attractively.
• Strict compliance with food safety and health regulations – adhere to Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and COSHH requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness – clean kitchens, equipment, crockery, and dining areas; report faults.
• Responding sensitively to residents’ needs – listen, report concerns, alert senior staff to issues.
• Work as part of a team under time pressures – follow instructions, meet deadlines, attend training.
