Job summary

Active Care Group in Morpeth is seeking a part-time Day Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a friendly gentleman in his 60s living with a spinal cord injury. The role offers around 3–4 shifts weekly, 7am–1pm, on a zero-hours contract.

You will help with personal care, mobility, accompanying him to appointments and activities, and driving him to stay active and independent while delivering compassionate, person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Kind, reliable and compassionate interpersonal approach.
• Able to provide 1:1 support with patience and respect.
• Comfortable with personal care and moving and handling.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and hygiene, including bowel management as required.
• Moving and handling.
• Supporting with appointments, outings and activities.
• Driving client to activities and day-to-day life.
