Job summary

Aurem Care is looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help keep our care home clean, safe and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff. You will carry out cleaning duties, follow infection control procedures, wear PPE, and support the wider housekeeping team.

The bank contract offers flexible hours across weekdays and weekends with shifts 8:00am–3:00pm and a competitive hourly rate of £12.71. We provide a comprehensive induction, on-site parking, life insurance, pension, DBS check and

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Reliable, hardworking and pride in your work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently.
• Caring and respectful approach towards older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the home.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and COSHH regulations.
• Use PPE appropriately at all times.
• Respect residents' privacy and dignity.
• Restock cleaning trolleys and maintain storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.
