Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team and help ensure residents enjoy a clean, hygienic, and homely environment every day. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home.

This role offers flexible bank hours and a supportive team, with opportunities for training. Rate of pay is £12.71 per hour, 28 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time), life insurance, DBS check, pension, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is required.
• Reliable and hardworking with pride in your work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Caring and respectful approach towards older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use PPE appropriately at all times.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and needs.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties.
