Job summary

Prime Life are seeking passionate Day Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Westerlands Care Village, Brough. The role supports residents with age-related conditions, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities. Full training is provided and prior care experience is helpful but not required.

We offer set shifts from 8am–8pm across a 7-day week, competitive hourly pay, DBS funding, holiday pay and a Refer a Friend scheme, with opportunities to advance within Quality Matters.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and desire to make a difference for residents.
• Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable but training is provided.
• Residents live with age-related conditions, physical disabilities, mental health conditions or dementia; patient and respectful approach required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and getting ready for bed.
• Conduct routine welfare checks to ensure safety during night shifts.
• Support residents with dining, nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage safe mobility with aids and equipment.
• Provide friendship and companionship to residents.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to promote residents’ well-being.
• Assist family members with enquiries and welcome visitors.
