Job summary

Prime Life is recruiting caring and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team for maternity cover at Westerlands Care Village, Brough. You will support residents with personal care, meals, mobility, and daily activities, while upholding dignity and respect in a warm, patient-focused environment.

The role offers regular shifts between 8am and 8pm across a 7-day week, with full training provided and DBS fully funded. A supportive team and opportunities for progression are available.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate attitude toward residents.
• Patience and understanding when assisting with personal care.
• Ability to work as part of a care team and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal hygiene and night-time routines.
• Carrying out welfare checks to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Supporting residents with meals to maintain nutrition and hydration.
• Encouraging safe mobility with aids and equipment as needed.
• Providing companionship and social engagement to residents.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing documentation.
• Liaising with care professionals to promote residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Welcoming family members and assisting with inquiries.
