Job summary

Prime Life Ltd. at Westerlands Care Village in Brough seeks a Bank Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, nutrition and mobility, and to provide friendship and companionship. Training is provided and prior care experience is welcome but not essential, with a patient, respectful approach to individuals with dementia.

Shifts cover 7 days between 8am–8pm or 8pm–8am. In return, benefits include a fully funded DBS, comprehensive holiday pay and a Refer a Friend scheme up to £250.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for residents.
• Full training is provided; prior care experience is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of dementia is beneficial for residents living with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and dressing for the day or night.
• Support residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage safe mobilisation around the home with mobility aids.
• Provide companionship and accompany residents on social outings or appointments.
• Maintain accurate written records and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to promote residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Welcome family members and assist with enquiries.
