Job summary

Continuity of Care Services Ltd. is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to support a non-verbal young man with cerebral palsy in his own home in Ashford, Kent. The role involves personal care, mobility support and companionship, with training provided for complex needs.

The position offers shifts on Mon, Thu and Fri 11:00–18:00 with occasional Saturdays, and a two-week rotating rota. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and DB S checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Medication administration and monitoring.
• Moving and handling as required.
• Peg feeding tasks may be required.
• Positive Behaviour Support training available.
• General domestic tasks may be needed.
• Personal care assistance where appropriate.
• Provide companionship, activities and outings.

Responsibilities

• Support a young man with cerebral palsy and complex needs in his own home.
• Assist with daily activities, personal care and mobility tasks.
• Support communication using specialist software on an iPad.
• Encourage social interaction and fun while ensuring safety.
• Maintain calm and patient approach during distress or frustration.
