Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is hiring a Community Services Driver Operative in Epsom for a two-month contract with a Local Authority. The role involves transporting residents via the Transport from Home Service and delivering meals through the Meals at Home Service, with a focus on safety, wellbeing and dignity.

Hours are 36 per week, rate £17.41 per hour, and the post includes full training, safeguarding provisions, and a strong emphasis on customer care and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Experience in community support, social care or customer service.
• Experience driving professionally and transporting vulnerable residents.
• Experience with wheelchair-accessible vehicles and home-delivery roles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to/from designated locations using accessible vehicles.
• Assist passengers with boarding and securing mobility equipment.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Deliver meals to residents in a timely, hygienic manner.
• Provide person-centred support and maintain professional boundaries.
