Job summary

Norwood is seeking reliable drivers to support the safe and comfortable transport of people in our London Adult services. This bank/casual role involves assisting individuals with learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental needs to access their community, attend activities, and stay connected.

You will manage journeys independently, prioritising safety, respect, and organisation. The role offers flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends, with light administration as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers using Norwood vehicles
• Ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of passengers at all times
• Plan routes effectively and keep accurate journey records
• Carry out vehicle safety checks, reporting defects and arranging maintenance
• Support the safe use of wheelchair lifts and securing equipment
• Respond calmly to incidents, breakdowns or unexpected changes
• Keep vehicles clean, safe and roadworthy
• Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Support with light administration linked to transport where required
