Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking a compassionate Outreach Worker to join the Outreach Team within an SEN setting supporting children with Autism and complex learning needs. You will build trusted relationships, promote wellbeing and support pupils to overcome barriers to learning in youth centres around Worcestershire.

You will need a driving licence as travel to multiple centres is required; the role is offered on a temporary-permanent basis and salary is experience-based.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEND in a school or community setting
• Ability to build trust with non-verbal or anxious learners
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to Worcestershire youth centres
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in an SEN setting
• Support development of social and life skills
• Collaborate with families, carers and schools to promote learning and wellbeing
• Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
