Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on safeguarding, wellbeing, and emotional support for children and young people in a residential setting.

You will work within a team to deliver consistent care in line with individual care plans, supporting positive outcomes and a nurturing home environment while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in children's residential care or similar
• Ability to maintain safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient and resilient approach

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Promote a safe, caring and nurturing residential environment
• Carry out welfare checks in line with care plans and risk assessments
• Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns and emergencies
• Provide emotional support and positive role modelling
• Encourage positive behaviour with consistent boundaries
• Maintain accurate daily records and handovers
• Ensure home safety including fire safety checks
• Assist with light household duties
• Support morning routines as required
• Collaborate with care team and external professionals
• Deliver care in line with regulations and organisational policies
