Qualifications

• Experience in children's residential care or similar settings is desirable.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and understanding of child protection boundaries.
• Good written record-keeping and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive, flexible and child-centred approach.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a residential setting.
• Promote a safe, caring and nurturing residential environment.
• Carry out welfare checks and risk assessments as per care plans.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and emergencies.
• Provide emotional support and positive role modelling.
• Maintain accurate daily records, reports and handovers.
• Adhere to safeguarding and regulatory standards and care plans.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
• Deliver care in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and organisational policies.
