Job summary

HC-One is seeking a dedicated Chef for our care home kitchen. You will prepare wholesome, homemade meals that meet nutritional needs and bring comfort to Residents. You’ll plan menus, present nutritious dishes with care, and work collaboratively with a compassionate team.

Required qualifications include an NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, plus Level 2 Food Hygiene, and strong HACCP knowledge. A positive, caring attitude is essential to reflect HC-One values.

Qualifications

• Qualified cook with recognised certification in catering/hospitality.
• Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to plan nutritionally balanced menus and present appetising dishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wholesome, homemade meals for Residents.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional needs and dietary requirements.
• Plan menus, source ingredients, and maintain kitchen inventory.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
• Work as part of a caring team and support Residents during meals.
