Housing 21 is looking for a caring Care Worker to join our team. You will support residents with daily tasks and personal care in our independent living schemes, helping them live their best lives and maintaining their dignity.

You will work in a friendly, supportive environment with access to a range of benefits and Career development opportunities. Our residents live in self-contained flats with communal spaces across schemes, promoting independence and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• A genuine desire to help people.
• Commitment to undertake necessary further training.

• To remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supporting with household and domestic tasks, such as laundry, shopping, cleaning, and paying bills.
• Making meals, drinks and snacks where necessary.
• Encouraging and enabling residents to follow agreed care plans.
• Assisting residents with getting up, personal care (washing/bathing and dressing) and supporting evenings routine, ensuring medication is taken as required.
• Putting resident wellbeing at the heart of the service and keeping managers informed of progress.
