Job summary

Housing 21 is hiring a Care Worker to support residents in our schemes where they live independently in their own apartments with communal spaces. You’ll build strong relationships with residents and colleagues, delivering compassionate daily care and support in a friendly, supportive team.

The role is paid by the hour at £13.48, with a full-time equivalent of £24,601 per annum based on 35 hours per week. We offer a broad benefits package and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Commitment to undertake necessary further training.
• A genuine desire to help people.

Responsibilities

• Support with household and domestic tasks (laundry, shopping, cleaning, paying bills).
• Prepare meals, drinks and snacks as needed.
• Encourage residents to follow care plans.
• Assist with personal care (getting up, washing/bathing, dressing; undressing and bedtime) including medication support.
• Prioritise resident wellbeing and keep managers informed of progress.
