Job summary

Potens is offering a Support Worker position at Oakleigh in Dawlish. The role involves supporting adults with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, mental health needs, and autism. You’ll assist with daily tasks, community access and activities, working 37 hours weekly with shifts 8am-3pm and 3pm-10pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar care role preferred.
• Great sense of humour, be understanding and patient.
• Flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• A motivated team player.
• Drivers preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• There is very little personal care required; the people we support mostly require prompting and guiding.
• Supporting residents with daily practical activities, shopping, food preparation, cooking, cleaning and laundry.
• Assisting with accessing the community and taking part in activities and outings.
