Job summary

National Star in Ullenwood, Cheltenham is seeking a Specialist Care and Support Worker (Facilitator) to provide person-centred care and support for individuals with complex needs. The role offers permanent term-time and 52-week contracts with 20–44 hours per week, including early and late shifts and alternate weekends.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support learning, independence and community access, using equipment like hoists and wheelchairs, while recording progress

Qualifications

• Experience in care, support, education, healthcare or other people-focused roles is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality person-centred care and support.
• Support with personal care, daily living and health needs.
• Use specialist equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs.
• Support learning, independence and life skills development.
• Work closely with therapists, nurses, tutors and colleagues.
• Support social activities and community access.
• Accurately record care, progress and achievements.
