Job summary

Marie Curie Belfast Hospice is seeking a Hub Co-ordinator to support the delivery of exceptional end-of-life care. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, provide high-quality admin support, and coordinate communications to help teams work together for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Proficient with multiple IT systems.
• Highly organised with ability to prioritise workloads.
• Attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Compassionate, resilient and empathetic in sensitive situations.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for referrals, ensuring patients are connected to the right Marie Curie services quickly and efficiently.
• Managing referrals from healthcare professionals, including GPs, hospitals, district nursing teams and other partner organisations.
• Coordinating referrals and enquiries received via telephone and email, delivering a professional and compassionate service at every interaction.
• Maintaining accurate records across multiple systems and databases, ensuring information is processed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Arranging and scheduling appointments, assessments and visits for patients and families accessing Marie Curie services.
• Working closely with Senior Nurses and multidisciplinary teams to support seamless care coordination and service delivery.
• Providing reassurance and support to callers, handling sensitive conversations with empathy, professionalism and confidence.
