Job summary

Stonehaven Care Group is seeking a Domestic Staff member for 20 hours per week at The Manor in Exminster. You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, support infection prevention, and handle laundry with hygienic practices.

Key duties include waste management, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting with residents' wellbeing. A positive, flexible attitude and ability to work with care staff are essential. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in care home, hospital, or similar kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to handle deadlines.
• Good communication with colleagues and residents in a respectful manner.
• Compassionate and patient by nature with an interest in older or vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, offices, and corridors to a high standard.
• Assist with infection prevention using correct cleaning products and PPE.
• Undertake laundry tasks: washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution with correct labelling.
• Safely dispose of waste per policies and health and safety regulations.
• Maintain hygiene: safe storage and use of cleaning equipment; report shortages.
• Identify hazards and follow safe working practices; report to staff.
