Job summary

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Care Support Worker for Trinity Ward at Ripon Community Hospital. The role involves assisting with moving, personal care, hygiene and feeding, while maintaining patient dignity in a busy rehabilitation setting.

Experience in care is preferred, with flexibility across a 24-hour shift pattern. The Trust emphasises kindness, integrity, teamwork and equality in patient care and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or NHS equivalent with completion evidence.
• Moving and Handling certification and basic life support where applicable.
• Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy to support patient records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving, turning and positioning of dependent patients using correct equipment.
• Support personal care, hygiene, feeding and comfort while preserving dignity.
• Assist with toilet needs, dressing, meals and maintaining accurate records.
• Follow infection control policies and standard precautions in caring for patients.
