Job summary

Ivy Gate Lodge Care Home in Southport, Merseyside is seeking a Care Assistant to provide person-centred care to residents, including help with daily living, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.

You will work as part of a supportive team, following care plans, maintaining dignity and independence, and delivering high-quality care with a friendly, respectful approach. The role includes alternate weekend shifts and full training.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive and consistent care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter.
• Open to training and ongoing development to support your journey.
