Job summary

Elizabeth Finn is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care at The Lodge Care Home in Exeter. You will support residents while promoting dignity and independence, working with clinical and senior teams to foster a safe and engaging living environment.

The role requires English communication, numeracy and care knowledge, with DBS checks and safeguarding procedures in place. A supportive benefits package and ongoing development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
Ability to communicate clearly in English.
Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience caring for older people.
Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, documenting accurately.
Report any changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly to senior staff.
Support residents with social activities, routines, and meaningful engagement.
Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment and ensure equipment is used/stored safely.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies; take responsibility for ongoing learning and development.
