Qualifications

• Good English (written and verbal).
• Proficient written skills to maintain care plans and care records in line with service policy.
• Communication skills to build rapport with residents, communicate effectively with them, and inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
• Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
• Ability to assist residents with daily tasks by following their care plan, this may include bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and respect their wishes to enhance wellbeing.
• Contribute to the efficient running of the service and support residents to maintain connections with the local community.
• Follow care plans and other supporting information regarding residents and inform senior staff of changes in needs.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of those being supported.
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
