Job summary

St Martins Care is seeking a Care Assistant to support a busy care home with flexible hours, alternate weekends, and an opportunity to make a real difference. The role is based at Washington Manor Care Home, Hollin Hill Road, Concord, with the service premises as the primary location.

You will work with residents, following care plans and collaborating with the care team to promote wellbeing and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Good English (written and verbal).
• Experience in care settings is not required.
• Ability to follow care plans and policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents are at heart of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences to enhance wellbeing.
• Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
• Support residents to maintain relationships and connections with their local community.
• Follow care plans and other supporting information regarding residents.
• Inform the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in a resident's needs.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of those being supported.
