Job summary

Roseberry Care is seeking a Care Assistant for Moorend Place Nursing Home in Walkley, Sheffield. The home is a 53-bedroom, all en-suite facility offering nursing and residential dementia care, with a 9.8 carehome.co.uk rating and a warm, person-centred approach. Role involves supporting residents with personal care, social activities and meals to promote independence and quality of life.

44 hours per week, day shifts, with every other weekend included. Salary £12.71/hour.

Qualifications

• Ideally have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care.
• Must be permitted to work in the UK without certificate of sponsorship.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Care.
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
• A genuine passion for elderly care.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence
• Support mental and emotional well-being
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition
