Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking in a care home, catering, or busy kitchen environment.
• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate and solid working knowledge of kitchen safety.
• Understanding of dietary needs and textured diets is a plus.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present nutritious, fresh meals daily.
• Cater for dietary requirements and food textures (e.g., IDDSI standards).
• Design and update seasonal, choice-driven menus with residents.
• Manage kitchen stock and maintain delivery/temperature logs.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety.
• Build warm connections with residents and assist choices from the menu.
• Attend regular supervisions and complete mandatory training.
