Highgate Care is seeking a Chef/Cook for their Brighouse home at Rastrick Hall & Grange. The role is permanent and full-time, offering a £14 per hour rate. You will plan, prepare and cook meals that are nutritious and meet residents' dietary preferences, while supporting a positive kitchen environment and leading the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Personable and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to plan and organise kitchen duties.
• Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
• Passion for improving residents' dining experience.
• Willingness to participate in meetings as required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare and cook a variety of meals appealing and nutritious for residents, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
• Provide guidance to the team to maintain a friendly, supportive kitchen environment.
• Supervise and appraise the Kitchen Team.
• Interview applicants for Kitchen Team vacancies.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health requirements.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure kitchen areas are clean.
• Order and rotate stock, ensuring high quality food stocks.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and well-maintained; report faults.
• Contribute to team meetings and support the Home Manager with staff development.
• Engage with residents and relatives to monitor satisfaction with catering services.
