Job summary

HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a strong understanding of HACCP to join our care team in Wales.

You will cook and serve nutritious meals, support the First Chef, manage stock, and help with budgeting while keeping resident wellbeing at the heart of everything you do.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and knowledge of HACCP.
• Organised, able to meet deadlines and follow recipes precisely.
• Able to present food attractively and work well with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve nutritious meals for residents.
• Provide support to First Chef and cover in their absence.
• Manage kitchen stock and contribute to budget planning.
• Coach a colleague and supervise kitchen clean-up with resident wellbeing in mind.
• Follow safeguarding duties and attend relevant training.
