Job summary

EMED Group in Huntingdon is hiring an Ambulance Care Assistant to support patients on their journeys to and from medical facilities. You will drive patients to appointments, assist with transfers and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

No ambulance experience required; full training is provided. You must hold a UK manual driving licence and be physically fit for manual handling; shifts are 5:30am to 12:00am, 4 days a week, 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and relatives.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Drive patients to appointments and between facilities.
• Assist with loading/unloading and transferring patients between beds, chairs and stretchers.
• Maintain ambulance safety, cleanliness and organization.
• Hand over patients to appropriate staff on arrival at facilities or to family when needed.
