EMED Group in Manchester is seeking compassionate Ambulance Care Assistants to support patients on journeys to and from medical facilities. This is a bank (0-hour) role with day and night shifts, based in Manchester/Warrington.

You will drive patients, assist with transfers, and work with colleagues or alone, requiring a valid UK manual driving licence and good physical fitness. Training starts soon.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Able to work flexible day and night shifts.
• Committed to patient care and wellbeing.
• Empathetic, clear communicator with patients and relatives.
• Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
• Able to pass Enhanced DBS check (company funded).
• Good teamwork and collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Transporting patients to and from medical appointments and between facilities.
• Assist with lifting, transferring and positioning patients safely.
• Hand over patients to appropriate staff on arrival at centres or homes.
• Transfer patients between beds, stretchers or chairs as needed.
• Maintain ambulance safety, cleanliness and readiness for use.
• Provide compassionate support and build rapport with patients and relatives.
