Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a Personal Assistant (Temporary) in Ashington to provide 2:1 support for a 7-year-old boy with autism. You will assist with communication, daily activities, and safety, in a home and community setting.

The role requires patience, reliability, and the ability to work within a small support team. Training and safeguarding guidance are provided, with a long-term absence covered as needed.

Qualifications

• 2:1 support for a 7-year-old boy with autism.
• Willing to learn about autism and sensory needs.
• Able to work as part of a small support team.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care.
• Training will be provided; employment checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2:1 support alongside an existing PA.
• Support communication and understanding of his needs.
• Encourage play, learning and activities at home and in the community.
• Ensure safety through constant supervision.
• Assist with personal care, including nappy changing.
• Follow established routines to support wellbeing.
• Support meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements.
