Job summary

Encompassborders is seeking a friendly Personal Assistant to support a 12-year-old boy in Galashiels. The role involves 1:1 home-based supervision for 3 hours per week, with duties including engaging activities, routine support, and ensuring safety and wellbeing. PVG clearance and references are required.

The role focuses on building a trusting relationship and helping the young person enjoy time at home under family supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of Autism and ADHD is helpful.
• Comfortable working in a family home and supporting a young person.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and supervision.
• Help keep him engaged in fun and positive activities at home.
• Encourage confidence, routines and independence where possible.
• Create a calm, supportive environment.
