Job Opportunity: Company Accountant

We are working with an excellent SME company based in Batley, seeking a full-time, permanent Company Accountant.

This standalone accounts role reports directly to the EU head office in Spain and the general manager in Spain, serving as the sole finance contact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage purchase ledger, expenses, and payment runs
2. Oversee sales ledger and credit control
3. Handle credit card expenses
4. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
5. Manage accruals, prepayments, and the fixed asset register
6. Post journal entries
7. Prepare monthly management accounts
8. Assist with budgets and forecasting
9. Handle VAT returns
10. Manage petty cash
11. Support year-end duties such as audits
12. Report to directors and submit all financial information
