Job summary

CISWO is seeking a Social Inclusion Support Worker to help deliver a new outreach service for former miners and their families. You will work with the Social Inclusion Service Co-ordinator to plan and run activities that reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing.

The role involves delivering community-based activities across designated areas, promoting participation, safeguarding, and maintaining records. This is a permanent, 30-hour per week contract with training and support.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering community-based services to older people or disabled individuals.
• Ability to engage with diverse communities in a supportive manner.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outreach services and activities to meet physical, cognitive and emotional needs of service users.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment and provide meals/refreshments as needed.
• Maintain safeguarding reporting and relevant referrals.
• Support development of holistic, accessible activity programmes across locations.
• Update monitoring and reporting systems and maintain records.
