Job summary

CISWO is hiring a Social Inclusion Support Worker in Pontypridd. The role supports former miners and communities through activities that improve wellbeing and reduce isolation. 0.8 FTE at 30 hours/week, based at the Pontypridd office with regional delivery.

Responsibilities include delivering outreach, safeguarding, coordinating logistics, and promoting the service across communities. DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering outreach or community activities in health/social care.
• Strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
• Understanding safeguarding and safety for vulnerable adults.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outreach services and activities to reduce social isolation.
• Support the Co-ordinator with delivery across communities.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment including meals and refreshments.
• Maintain records, monitoring and reporting on activities.
• Assist with logistics for mobile service delivery and venues.
• Promote the service to service users and stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Co-ordinator when needed.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and contribute to risk assessments.
