Job summary

CISWO is expanding its Community Welfare Service and seeks a Community Welfare Assistant (South) to support local miners' welfare charities with governance, funding and trustee training, under the Development Manager in the South region. The role involves regular engagement with volunteer trustees, site visits, delivering training and events, and developing tools and resources to address charity needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of tools, resources and training content for miners' welfare trustees.
• Assist in developing policies and templates to help trustees carry out their roles.
• Help plan and deliver training and networking events for trustees.
• Undertake site visits to charities across the South England region.
• Support in-person and online training and forums to enable trustee networking.
• Assist with gathering evidence for funding applications and reporting.
• Support marketing activity to raise awareness of CISWO services.
