CISWO in the North of England is seeking a part-time Community Welfare Assistant to help sustain miners’ welfare charities. You will support local charity governance, funding, and trustee training, while delivering practical resources and training to volunteers.

Working with the Development Manager, you will visit sites, develop tools and templates, coordinate events, and help raise CISWO’s profile in former coalfield communities across England and Wales.

Competenze

• Experience in community development or charity sectors.
• Experience supporting or working with volunteers.
• Experience designing and delivering training.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including report writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to work evenings.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or higher.

Mansioni

• Support the Development Manager in governance, funding, financial sustainability and trustee training.
• Develop tools, resources and training content for miners’ welfare trustees.
• Deliver training and networking events for trustees, in person and online.
• Undertake site visits across the North England region.
• Assist with monitoring and reporting for funding and activity evaluation.
• Support marketing activity to raise awareness of CISWO services.
• Maintain up-to-date information on miners’ welfare charities.
• Record data in organization databases for evaluation and reporting.
• Attend training and external forums relevant to the role.
• Perform other duties as required.
