Job summary

National Trust seeks a Community, Participation & Volunteering Co-ordinator to lead high-quality volunteer experiences across Upton House, Canons Ashby and Farnborough Hall. You’ll lead for some aspects and support Volunteer Managers in delivering others, with around 500 volunteers across sites.

This role is based on annualised hours (1950 per year, about 37.5 hours weekly on average) and requires involvement in a duty management rota, including one in four weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of community engagement and participatory practice.
• Experience increasing community participation and inclusive opportunities.
• Experience managing and supporting a team of people.

Responsibilities

• Support community engagement and volunteering work, putting people at the centre.
• Champion the volunteer voice and local communities in planning across properties.
• Coach and train Volunteer Managers, including resolving issues and ensuring learning.
• Ensure learning requirements are completed by Volunteer Managers and teams.
• As duty manager, oversee daily operations and act as main contact for staff, volunteers, and customers.
